Alto Food Pantry hosts fundraiser to provide Thanksgiving meals to families

by Staff reports

ALTO – A short-term fundraiser benefitting the Alto Food Pantry is underway, as part of a Thanksgiving food basket project for non-pantry clients.

According to Siu Chapa, pantry volunteer, the funds will be used to purchase dairy, meal and other food items for an upcoming Nov. 18 produce production day, which is slated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Because we can only count on produce being on the delivery truck, I’d like to ensure that the non-registered households that come from near and far have a little less food worry for Thanksgiving,” she posted on the group’s Facebook page.

To donate, visit the Facebook page “Alto Food Pantry,” or drop funds off at 176 W. San Antonio St., between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Or, mail donations to The Chaparral Center dba Alto Food Pantry, PO Box 174, Alto, TX 75925

The Alto Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible.
