Rusk-Shepherd game canceled

The Oct. 30 football match between the Rusk Eagles and the Shepherd Pirates has been canceled, according to Rusk Athletic Director Thomas Sitton.

“I just got a call from their head coach, and they have canceled the game for this Friday due to contact tracing with COVID-19,” Sitton announced Monday evening in a Facebook post. “There will not be a varsity game this Friday.”

The Eagles’ next scheduled game is Nov. 6, an away game at Center.
