Farmers and ranchers across the nation continue to face market disruptions and associated costs due to COVID-19, and the USDA is offering direct assistance through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2.

The agency is accepting applications for CFAP 2 through Dec. 11. The program will help certain row crop, livestock, dairy and specialty crop growers offset the impacts of the pandemic, said Farm Service Agency administrator Richard Fordyce.

The website – www.farmers/gov/CFAP – is a one-stop shop to find eligible commodities, payment rates, eligibility criteria and options to apply.

Interested producers can contact the FSA call center, 877–508-8364 or contact local FSA offices, where USDA staff can answer questions and help with completing applications.
