Graveside funeral services for Archie L. Mack, 84, of Alto will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Elwood Cemetery near Midway, Texas, with the Rev. John Black officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home in Alto.
Archie passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, at his home in Alto, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sept. 12, 1936, to Kermit and Ella Sibley Mack. Archie was Pentecostal and loved fishing. He had worked as a drywall contractor for many years, up until his health prevented him from working.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Mack; brothers, Roger L., Sidney L. and Fred L. Mack; and sister, Dora Lee Mack.

Archie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Freddie Mack of Alto; sister, Claudia Bailey of Teneha; brother, Ted Mack of Teneha; step-sons, Mark Cannon (Tara) of Baytown and Randy Cannon (Christina) of Channelview and Vic Cannon (Denise) of Alto; grandchildren, Brittany Welch (Brad) and Casey Cannon and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
