(Sept. 3, 2020) Rusk Rural Water Supply Corporation has issued a notice to boil water for customers on FM 241 and CR 2443. Customers will receive a call if on the BWN.
Due to conditions which have occurred recently in the water system, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify
If you have any questions regarding this matter, you may contact the Rusk Rural Water Supply Office at (903) 683-6178 between the hours of 8-11:30 a.m., or from 12:30-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
