One new active case of COVID in Jacksonville
(June 17, 2020) As of 5 p.m. today, Jacksonville city officials have announced the city's COVID-19 case number has risen to 11.
The county's total case number rose to 63 this week, including 10 new active cases. Case number 63 was found to be located within the Jacksonville city limits.
This case makes a total of 11 COVID-19 cases within the city of Jacksonville, and one of two known active cases within the city limits. Nine cases within the city limits have recovered.
Two of the current active cases have been associated with a state facility in Cherokee County and eight are county residents.
