Jacksonville's Buckner Park swimming pool to open Tuesday, June 16

Buckner Park's public swimming pool, located at 119-123 Newbern St., in Jacksonville, is opening Tuesday, June 16, for the 2020 summer season.

Pool operation hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays; closed Mondays

Swimming rules:

- Maximum occupancy will be 40 swimmers per session.

- Swimmers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

- The gate will be opened every hour on the hour for new swimmers who will be granted 45 minutes of swim time.

- The facility will be emptied, cleaned, and sanitized after each session.

- Admission will be based on first come, first served basis with previous swimmers being asked to skip a session.
