James Reynolds Havens

James Reynolds Havens, 93, of Rusk passed away August 1, 2022, in Rusk after a short illness. Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 5, 2022 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Colby Mays and Bennie Boles officiating. Burial will follow at Mays Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Thursday, August 04, 2022, at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

James was born in Scurry County, Texas on December 28, 1928 to Arthur Glen and Bertha Clara (McNorton). He married Alma Swink June 12, 1959.

James was a lineman for Cherokee County Electric Cooperative, a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by parents; Arthur and Bertha Havens, wife; Alma,

and his brothers: Bill, Fred, Alton, Dee, Donald, Pat, and Dan Havens.

Survivors include brother; David Havens; son, James Havens; daughter; Melissa and husband Tim King; grandsons Justin Pitman and James King, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ray Havens, Justin Pitman, Marlin Pitman, James King, Tim King, and Darvin Collins.
