Back to school supplies distributed

Special delivery Members of the Jacksonville High School football program lend a hand with distribution of school supplies July 27 to the eight JISD campuses as part of the local Chamber of Commerce’s Back to School program. The annual drive collects funds for school supplies for elementary students, as well as those for the local intermediate school and Compass Center, then divides up purchases for delivery to the various campuses. School officials were joined by Chamber and JISD officials, and the high school drum line and the Cherokee Charmers in welcoming the delivery truck to the West Side campus.
