Funeral service Faye Arlene Frazer, age 78, of Rusk will be at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk, Thursday, July 21, 2022. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM directly followed by a short service. She will be laid to rest at Walker's Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw.

Arlene went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2022 in Tyler, Texas after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on June 14,1944 to Wallace Raymond and Lois Jones Shankles of Reklaw. She graduated from Rusk High School in May of 1962.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren and being everyones Nana. She loved painting and doing crafts. She was known for her famous “Nana” pudding and Italian Cream Cake. She spent much of her time tending to her flowers of which her favorite were blue hydrangeas and yellow lilies. She taught her grandkids to cook, draw, and paint, and she was a true nurturer. She was loved by many friends who she visited with often. She will be truly missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by her parents Wallace Raymond and Lois Jones Shankles; a son John Christopher Waddell; step-daughter Tracey Murphy and step-son Chris Frazer; Brother-In-Law Ronnie Frazer.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years I.K. (Ike) Frazer of Rusk; two daughters, Brenda West of Arlington and Rebecca Parsons and husband Luke of Jacksonville; step-son Steve Frazer of Rusk; sister Mary Alice Pool and husband Wayne of Bullard; sister-in-law Judy Frazer of Tyler.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Heather Pyle and husband Matthew; Brad West, Brent West and wife Shannon; Amanda Blaire Edwards; Brittany Wise and husband Travis; Will Frazer, Mike Frazer; Shelby Murphy, Jacob Murphy, and Rachael Murphy; great-grandchildren Aidyn, Avaa, Payzli, Kingzlee, Aiden, Jocelyn, Jack, Sadie, Noah, Rylee, Everlee; nephews: Gregg Pool, Mark Pool and wife Jana; niece: Holly Sansom and husband Tim; numerous extended family, cousins, and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Brad West, Kevin Germonte, Joey Lockett, Mike Frazer, Steve Frazer, Mark Pool, Gregg Pool, Luke Parson.
