'Jacket, Eagle pride alive in Cherokee County

Independent pep rallies for the Rusk Eagles and the Alto Yellowjackets, who have advanced to bi-district play in football, were held Friday as the two teams prepared to travel out of town to for games.

The Eagles travel to DeSoto for a match with the Salado Eagles, while the 'Jackets travel to Mexia to play Thorndale.

The Cherokeean Herald wishes both teams the best of luck and safe travels tonight.
