Marie Meyer

A graveside service for Marie Meyer, 86, of Atoy, is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Atoy Cemetery in Atoy. Ed Williamson will officiate. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

She passed away on September 3, 2021. She was born in Cherokee County on February 4, 1935 to Ramon and Naomi (Walker) Sales. Marie graduated from Nursing School in Tyler and worked as a RN in Dallas. She was a member of Mount Cove Missionary Baptist Church in Atoy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Meyer; brothers, William Arthur Sales, Wiley Curtis Sales; and sister, Hazel Vaught.

Left to cherish Marie’s memory are her son, Randy Langford and wife Devvy of Atoy; daughter, Romonda Wade and husband Bruce of Atoy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather Marie McDonald, Jeremy Heath Langford and Justin Wade; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
