Splishing and splashing

More than 200 people showed up for a July 24 Splash Day, enjoying a refreshing time at the Jacksonville splash pad at Nichols Green Park – Phase II, while snacking on free snow cones and hot dogs provided by the Jacksonville Fire Department. According to JFD Chief Keith Fortner, the event first was held in 2018, but cancelled last year due to a nation-wide pandemic.
