Rusk baseball advances

In a single, winner-takes-all game played May 27 against the Orangefield Bobcats, the Rusk Eagles clinched a spot in the play-off, returning to Huntsville June 2 to secure the regional finals title against Bellville match. Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Sam Houston State University baseball field; however, an RHS social media post notes that “If Bellville's coach’s wife gets induced Wednesday, we will move the game to Thursday at the same time and location.”

Meanwhile, Game 1 of the Class 4A, Region III final will be broadcast live by KLTR 94.1 out of Brenham, online at litefm941.com
