Rusk school board to swear in new board members Monday

Rusk ISD’s newest school board trustees will be sworn into office during a 6 p.m. meeting Monday, May 10, at the district training center at 199 Eagle Drive.

Trustees Montie Sunday and Nathan Acker ran unopposed in this year’s election; following their oaths of office, trustees will name new board officers, according to a meeting agenda.

Other action items include consideration of depository contract proposals and consideration of the addition of a communications officer position at Rusk ISD, along with approval of a consent agenda that includes previous meeting minutes and review of financial updates.

An executive session is also listed on Monday’s agenda. Action, if any, will be taken when the board resumes into open session, as per state government code.
