Keith Hill

A funeral service for Keith Hill, age 68, of Rusk was at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Hogan officiating. Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Hill passed away Jan. 1, 2021, in Rusk. He was born Oct. 10, 1952 in Burris, Louisiana to Preston and Tommie Halbert Hill. Mr. Hill was a resident of Rusk for 4 years, formerly of Houston, Texas. He retired as a surveyor and worked and retired as a firefighter in Galveston. He was Baptist by faith, liked to hunt and fish, never met a stranger and was a loving and caring person to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Hill and brother-in-law, Cliff Waddell. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Nick Stevens of Pevely, MO; three grandchildren, Ariana, Asher and Emmitt Stevens of Pevely; step-son, Kenny Stegmann; mother, Tommie Hill of Rusk; sister, Teresa Waddell of Early, Texas; two nephews, five great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

There was no visitation. The family requested that all who attended the funeral service please wear a mask or face covering.
