Paying tribute

Volunteers gave tribute to deceased local military veterans by laying wreaths on their graves during the Dec. 19 National Wreaths Across America Day. Local organizer Laura Mullenax said a total of 26 wreaths were placed at Jarratt Cemetery, where approximately 200 veterans are buried, with an additional wreath hung on the property's gate in memory of those messing in action and prisoners of war.
