Jacksonville School trustees to mull C-19 testing

JACKSONVILLE – Local school leaders will consider COVID-19 testing in the district when they meet during a 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday, Jan. 14, at the Jacksonville ISD Administration Building, 800 College Avenue.Other action items on the agenda include considering approval of an interlocal agreement and resolution with Region 19 Purchasing Cooperative, as well a consent agenda that includes Nov. 16 board minutes; investment, finance and current amended budget reports; maintenance work and technology work order reports for a period between September through November 2020; and, if needed, donations of $1,000 or more, and tax refund applications for more than $500.During the meeting, trustees also will host two public hearings: One for a financial accountability rating system (FIRST), the other for an annual  district presentation of 2019-20, including a Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).

Prior to the meeting, at 5:30 p.m., the board will meet in executive session, to discuss a monthly professional personnel report and legal matters, student discipline and real property. As per state government code, action, if any, will be taken when trustees resume into open session.
