Basketball: Game scoreboard via MaxPreps

Jacksonville High School – The JHS Indians were scheduled to compete Tuesday against the Hudson Hornets in an away game, while Jacksonville’s Fightin’ Maidens’ were slated to play at home Tuesday against the Kaufman Lady Lions.

Rusk High School – The Eagles beat the Henderson Lions, 57-55, during Nov. 27 play, while the Rusk Lady Eagles – in Nov. 28 play – fell to Brownsboro, 81-13. The boys’ varsity team was scheduled to play against Huntington at home Tuesday, while the Lady Eagles’s next match is slated for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, against Huntington.

Alto High School – The Yellowjackets of Alto opened their season with a 56-43 win over the San Augustine Wolves in a Nov. 17 home game. Alto was slated for play Tuesday in Gary, against the Bobcats, who are 5-0 in play. Meanwhile, the girls’ varsity team was scheduled to play against the Groveton Indians at home Tuesday.

New Summerfield High School – Tuesday’s game against Troup was canceled, as were those slated the previous week. According to the New Summerfield schedule, Homecoming will be held Friday, Dec. 4, with the Hornets playing against the Cross Roads Bobcats. Meanwhile, the girls’ varsity team was scheduled to play at home against the Carlisle Indians.

Troup High School – The Tigers topped the Bullard Panthers with a 67-56 win, during a Nov. 27 home game at Tiger Gymnasium. The Tigers next play Dec. 4, hosting a 6:15 p.m. home game against the Carlisle Indians. The girls’ team fell to the Beckville Bearcats, 33-25, during play Nov. 24; they were next scheduled to take on the Frankston Indians Tuesday in Frankston.

Wells High School – Both the boys’ and girls’ Pirate varsity basketball games were slated for Tuesday evening, with the boys playing in Elkhart, while the girls were scheduled to play at home against Broaddus.
