Collin Carroll annual golf tourney looking for teams, sponsors
Organizers of the 2020 Collin Carroll Memorial Golf Tournament are inviting golfers to help support the annual event, which is the driving force behind the funding of the Collin Carroll Memorial Scholarship that’s given annually to Rusk High School students.
“This year we didn’t contact businesses for hole sponsorships because we knew it had been a tough year for you,” Jeff Carroll explained via a post on social media. “However we still need sponsors to make this event happen.
“If you would like to sponsor a hole, please let us know so we can get you a sign or if you have sponsored in the past and would like to do so again, we can have your sign ready for tournament day.
“Thank you all for your generous support in the past and we look forward to next year!
“We couldn’t do it without you.”
The 2020 tourney will be held Friday, Sept. 4, at Oak Hurst Golf Club in Bullard.
Sponsorships are $100; team fee is $300. For more information, contact Carroll, (903) 316-9963 or Jake Ocker, (903) 780-5333.
“If you have not participated in the Collin Carroll Memorial Golf Tournament you have missed out on a great time,” Traci Norton said of last year’s event.
This year’s includes a raffle for a Henry .22LR Golden Boy with the octagon barrel, donated by Frank Dobrovolny and the Dobrovolny Law Firm in Jacksonville. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20.
PayPal is available for those wishing to purchase raffle tickets. Email email@example.com for Pay Pal information.
