John Stover

Private graveside services, under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home-Rusk, are scheduled for John Stover, 77, of Rusk. He passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born May 30, 1942, in Rusk, Texas, to the late John and Loyce Stover.

He was a lifelong resident of Rusk and graduated from Rusk High School. He was a fireman at Rusk Fire Department for many years, and he worked for his dad in custom farming.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Stover; and his brother; Robert Stover.

He is survived by his sister, Frances and her husband Jimmy Turlington of Rusk; nieces, Cindy and her husband Dewayne Thompson of Rusk, Kerri and her husband Nathan Taylor of Rusk and Becky Blankinship of Rusk; nephews, Randy Stover of Rusk and Brad and his wife Jennifer Turlington of Rusk; as well as several great-nieces and nephews
