Turn your sellable items into someone else’s treasures during the upcoming rummage sale, benefiting the Gallatin Community Center.

The city of Gallatin is still accepting all types of gently-used donations to be featured in the rummage sale scheduled all day Saturday, March 7, at the Community Center, 626 S. Chandler St. (FM 768) in Gallatin.

“If you have any nice items you would like to donate to the sale please let us know,” Gallatin Mayor Juanita Cotton said. “All proceeds will go to the city of Gallatin for the upkeep of the community center.”

Sale organizers said two of the Center’s biggest needs, at the moment, are new flooring and chairs.

“We need to add chairs and the flooring needs an upgrade, too,” Cotton said.

The Gallatin community uses the Center for its annual Gopher Fest and Fall Fest; as a voting location; and is currently working on adding monthly community gospel music concerts. The facility is also available for rent.

The Center was originally the ag building when Gallatin still had its own school district.

Anyone interested in donating items to the sale can contact Cotton, (903) 721-7952 or Carol Folkes, (903) 258-1574, to arrange for donation drop-offs.
