Fred A. Sheets

Mr. Fred A. Sheets, 83, of Rusk, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8. He was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to William C. and Ethel M. Sheets.

Mr. Sheets served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.

In the 1980s, Fred moved to Rusk and opened Rusk Donut Shop. He was a successful businessman and became a friend to many.

Fred loved fishing and kept himself busy outdoors, mowing and cutting hay for the area farmers.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by many friends and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
