Joe Kenneth Williamson

Funeral services for Joe Kenneth Williamson, 93, of Rusk will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Rusk with the Rev. Donnie Barron and the Rev. Brian Givens officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Williamson passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2019. He was born March 31, 1926, to the late JR and Jewel Williamson. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy then became a logging contractor for Texas Basket Factory for over 50 years. Mr. Williamson was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 66 years, Margie Banks Williamson. He is survived by a sister, Melba Wallace of Pasadena, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019. Pallbearers will be Robert Penn, Ray Penn, Rudy Penn, Ricky Penn, Alan Wallace and Jason Kellis.
