A funeral service for Billy Ray Goff, 71, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Holleyman’s Chapel Cemetery in Maydelle with Joe Bob Jennings officiating. 
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, and family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. 
Billy Ray Goff was born June 7, 1954, in Jacksonville, TX to Earon (Ted) Goff and Mary Veatrice Lusk Goff and went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2025.
Billy Ray dedicated his life to carrying on the family tradition of the masonry trade to the day he passed.
A loving and devoted family man that always had a grin or a big smile on his face, was known for his love of baking his homemade buttermilk and pecan pies and canning his famous hot sauce.  He loved gardening and sharing it with family and friends.  Billy Ray was known for being a “Super Host” to everyone that entered their home.  His favorite thing to do with his loving wife and beloved dogs, Kia, LuLu and JuJu was riding the back roads.  He enjoyed and loved helping people and pets when in need.  He was a kind man that would give you his shirt right off his back. 
Billy Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his daughters: Brandi Michelle Goff and Kimberly Ann Goff; brothers: Charles Goff and Joe E. Goff; sister: Shirley Sanford; sons: Zachary Clark and Jacob Clark.  
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brenda Kay; children: Justin Goff of Jacksonville, Jeremy Clark and wife Jennifer of Maydelle; grandchildren: Kylie, Skyler, Elijah, Dakota, Ty, Ethan, Taylor; great 
Sue of Kountze; sisters: Peggy Kirkpatrick and husband Kent of Jacksonville and Janice Crawford of Jacksonville, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.  
Pallbearers will be Justin Goff, Jeremy Clark, Mike Reynolds, Timmy Joe Langston, John Goff, Dustin Edwards, Dakota Clark, Jeremy Singletary.
